DesiYUP and Rasique Music school are organizing a special masterclass with Bindu and Ambi Subramaniam. It’s about fusing Sanskrit shlokas with modern Western music.
They will discuss how to combine shlokas and Indian melodies with western instrumentation, so that participants can work towards their own use of western instruments with Indian melodies and shlokas. Together with the audience they will work on a simple song or shloka, where everyone can sing and play. And the group will listen to what participants would like to present and guide them. In addition to Bindu and Ambi, other band members can demonstrate some of the points and play along.
This masterclass will take place in Zang en Muziek centrum in Vlaardingen, Van der Driftstraat 4 A on Saturday 16t of January from 13.00 – 15.00 hrs.
