Premiere Documentaire Homies & Yogi’s – Kabaalmakers

Last summer, nine young people worked on developing and producing their very first documentary about yoga. Their lived experiences and questions served as the starting point. The film focuses on three perspectives: a contemporary perspective, a religious perspective, and a personal perspective. How is yoga experienced today? Where does yoga actually come from? And how can that ancient wisdom still help me today?
This documentary was created in collaboration with more experienced filmmakers. The Kabaalmakers Foundation partnered with DesiYUP.

Location: Van Cappellen Zaal

Documentary: Journey in Dream + Q&A with documentary maker Silvia Formiconi

A poetic portrait of the great master of sitar Ustad Usman Khan in the form of a musical journey into his world:
After following him in France where he initiates the western public to Indian classical music, we discover him in India in his role of highly respected Guru, devoted to the transmission of his musical knowledge, within his institution, the Naad Mandir (‘the temple of Sound’), in the spirit of the traditional mode of teaching, namely the transmission from master to disciple (the guru-sishya-parampara).

Getting to know Guruji, his family, his students, his own spiritual guru, we are finally invited to celebrate his 75th year in music.
A music that going beyond virtuosity flows directly to the depths of the heart, thus opening to the sacred.
