Each and every time when there is a party within his family or friends circle Raj carefully plans an escape-route from the festivity. He is eager to avoid the loudness of sound produced by the band or DJ. While dressing up for a wedding, birthday party or any other social event that guarantees Caribbean-Desi tunes, Raj is mentally preparing himself for the expected noise created by Sarnami-Hindustani bands or DJ’s. Sometimes, when he thinks that he can make a difference, Raj walks up to the band leader or DJ, humbly screaming in his ear to lower down the volume of the produced sound, but the performance of loudness continues without any adjustment.
This bad social habit is frustrating Raj to his core and he exploded a few weeks ago into a heated discussion on Facebook with naming and even shaming. Raj Mohan, who is a respected member of the Sarnami-Hindustani community, is a pioneer in popularizing meaningful Sarnami geet. In fact, in Uttar Pradesh Bihar he is a well-known celebrity, receiving much appreciation for his music. With the start of this Facebook discussion Raj wants to create awareness.
