Celebrate Hanuman Jayanti with DesiYUP at Wereldmuseum Leiden! 🐵✨

On Sunday, April 13, DesiYUP presents a unique family program filled with music, dance, and an interactive Hanuman quiz specially for children. Experience the stories of Hanuman and explore his spiritual journey in the exhibition Hanuman Travels the World.

How well do you know Hanuman, the ultimate superhero from the Ramayana? Test your knowledge in an interactive Hanuman Quiz with Mahesvari Autar and win exciting prizes! 🎁

After the quiz, Prewien Pandohi-Mishre (vocals), together with Kries Malhoe (guitar) and Shailendra Harinarain (dholak), will bring a musical storytelling performance to life about Hanuman’s heroic role in the battle against Ravana. The Hanuman Chalisa will be sung in full!

In the museum café, vegetarian snacks and sweets will be available from Yumbons. In the Grote Zaal, boxmoments will showcase the cutest Hindu deity plush toys. Children can also join Deepa in coloring a Hanuman illustration or making a Wajang doll.

🎟️ Admission: The Grote Zaal can accommodate a maximum of 125 visitors. The program is suitable for all ages. Don’t miss this unique experience! Book your tickets in advance and arrive on time for the April 13 program.
