Shivali Bhammer The Many Faces of Love

Reprise: Many Faces of Love

A multidisciplinary performance about love

Love, the force that unites humanity. Shivali Bhammer takes you on an exciting poetic journey of love stories based on ancient Hindu scriptures. Each story unravels an emotion that can touch any heart, and sheds light on a different perspective of what touches our core, love. If you want to experience an adventure full of passion, unexpected twists and a dash of drama, all you have to do is sit back and listen.

The essence of these nine extraordinary affairs of the heart is enhanced with melodic ragas-based compositions by Diepak Ramjiawan, and the rich vibration of the strings by Annelieke Marselje on the violin. At the end of this journey you will fall in love with love itself!

 Safe visit

Many Faces of Love will be performed in the legendary Grote Zaal (auditorium). Due to the Covid regulations implemented by the government we will respect the 1.5 m distance. For more information about the Covid regulations visit this link.

Diepak Ramjiawan

Diepak Ramjiawan

Sarnami-Hindustani vocalist Diepak Ramjiawan was born and raised in Rotterdam. The young singer gave his first concerts in prestigious venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, De Doelen and the World Forum Theatre. One concert in particular is very dear to him, since he had the honour to perform as a supporting act for Ustad Zakir Hussain. During his act Diepak sang the Shiva Tandav Stotram while he played the tabla.

It’s been a year since he started to produce Spirituals/Devotional Mantra Music in his own unique style. Diepak believes that Music connects us to our inner self. “What this connectivity truly signifies is the listener’s personal experience.”
