The Creation of Something Meaningful part 2 at De Nieuwe Kerk in The Hague was a continuation of a cosmic creation by DesiYUP and creative composer Shammi Pithia.
In the same year (2014) we organized a second concert with UK composer and flutist Shammi Pithia. His first concert was a great success and Shammi got noticed by a theatre programmer of Dr. Anton Phillipszaal in The Hague. Shammi’s first concert was attended by Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia This is how we promoted concert COSM II.
Shammi Pithia performed together with Kathak dancer Vidya Patel and Jaina Modasia in 2016 for the Opening Gala of the Holland India Music Festival at the Zuiderstrandtheater.
A month later Shammi shared the stage in a double bill concert with Indian singer-songwriter Vasuda Sharma

I can state proudly that our last concert “Creation of Something Meaningful II” was a huge success. We organized a fun-tastic concert at the Nieuwe Kerk in The Hague, armed with the auspicious Divali-spirit we created a luminous evening for all visitors.
Shammi Pithia’s compositions (latest album Cosmic) left people mesmerized. According to a member of the Indian embassy the concert was fantastic “Especially the innovative and impromptu performances by Shammi. It was as if I was listening to divine flute especially on the day of Govardhan Puja”. Read on
