On 18 September 2018 DesiYUP organized a Hindustani Semi Classical concert with Nirali Kartik in Laaktheater the Hague. Accompanied by Amit Mishra (tabla) & Prewien Pandohi-Mishre (harmonium)

Nirali Kartik

A Hindustani Classical Vocalist from Mumbai, India, Nirali Kartik started to learn music at the young age of nine. A culturally rich environment at home provided the foundation for her art and nourished her creative abilities. After being introduced in Hindustani Music by Shri P. G. Shinde at Saptak School of Music, Nirali started to learn under the guidance of Shri Vikas Parikh.

Nirali is currently training under Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar.

Amit Mishra

Amit Mishra

Amit Mishra is an exponent of the renowned Banaras Gharana of Indian Classical Music. He was born on 2ndOctober 1985 in the city of Varanasi (Banaras), famed not only for its religious significance but also for its rich heritage of music. He is one of the current scions of this ancient tradition and legacy.

Prewien Pandohi-Mishre

Prewien Pandohi-Mishre

Prewien is a vocalist born in Surinam, Prewien received his musical grooming in Rotterdam under the tutelage of Shree Koustuv Ray. He is specialized in North Indian Classical and Semi-Classical Music styles. He is currently active teaching music and performing in the Netherlands.
