Raga Unveiled Screening + Live Stream Q&A/Music
During the 26 and 27 february lovers of Indian classical music were able to screen the documentary Raga Unveiled and participate in a livestream talklshow with director Gita Desai, Sitarist Purbayan Chatterjee and Vocalist Kaushiki Chakraborty. Sadhguru also shared his wisdom on India’s 4000 year old music heritage. During this three day period knowledge on the history and essence of North Indian Classical Music was expanded for many who participated.

Gita Desai
Documentary Filmmaker
Gita Desai, a resident of Los Angeles, has devoted the past 14 years of her life in creating the three most comprehensive documentary series to date on the profound Indian traditions of Yoga, Ayurveda and Raga Music. She worked on making Raga Unveiled from 2005 to 2009. Gita’s single-minded vision is to bring these powerful ancient sciences to as many people around the world, while keeping their spiritual essence intact. At the core is her ambition to transform the viewers at the deepest level through a fully immersive experience. Nothing less, nothing more!
Kaushiki Chakraborty
Hindustani Classical Vocalist
Kaushiki Chakraborty is an Indian classical vocalist. She attended Sangeet Research Academy, and was one of the exponents of Patiala gharana. Her repertoire covers Khyals and semi-classical Thumris. She is the recipient 2005 BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music in the Asia-Pacific category. She is the daughter of Hindustani classical vocalist, Ajoy Chakraborty. In 2020, she was awarded Nari Shakti Puraskar.
Purbayan Chatterjee
Sitarist
Purbayan Chatterjee is an Indian sitar maestro who lives in Mumbai, India. He is noted for amalgamating traditional Indian classical music with contemporary world music genres. He was a recipient of the President of India Award for being the Best Instrumentalist of the country at the age of 15. He has also received the Aditya Vikram Birla Award for excellence and contributions to the field. He has also been honoured with the Rasoi Award by Rotary International in 1995
