The opening of the Holland India Muziek Festival was conducted with the excellent concert: Pancha Tattva. Artists from The Netherlands, Aura Rascón (bansuri), Prewien Pandohi-Mishre (vocals), Avi Kishna (sarod) and Yama Sarshar (tabla) brought us an ode to Mother Earth. Pancha Tattva (the 5 elements) stand for Earth, Water, Air, Ether and Fire. Every musical instrument represents one of these elements and the final part was a harmonious combining of all the instruments and singing where it ended with Fire as the grand finale.
Bhattacharya is creating shockwaves across musical circles in her native India and beyond with her remarkable talent on the sarod and powerhouse performances. She is joined on the tabla by Rayatt, with blistering dynamism and a flair for sumptuous rhythmic balance. Immerse yourself into the deep unfolding of ragas.
