A vocalist born in Surinam, Prewien received his musical grooming in Rotterdam under the tutelage of Shree Koustuv Ray. He is specialized in North Indian Classical and Semi-Classical Music styles. He is currently active teaching music and performing in the Netherlands.
About Yama (tabla)
Yama started playing the tabla from the tender age of 2 years, learning under his father Ustad Sarshar. Yama then received his Taleem from the Late Ustad Alla Rakha khan saeb, Ustad Zakir Hussain and he currently spends most of his learning under Ustad Fazal Qureshi. Yama’s performances are high in demand throughout the world.
About Ganesh (harmonium)
Ganesh Ramnath is a young, multitalented musician in the field of North Indian classical music, well-versed in tabla as well as in the vocal style. He’s been greatly inspired by the saints and sages of India, and has a keen wish to express the message of universal love through his music. He finished his studies from the CODARTS University and received the Stipendium Award based on his exceptional study results and artistic qualities.
