Our deepest condolences. Santoor Maestro Padma Vibhushan Pandit Shivkumar Sharma (84) passed away this morning. We express our gratitude to Pt. Shivkumarji for his contributions to Indian Classical Music. He has spread the enchanted sounds of the Santoor throughout the world. He worked closely together with Pt. Brij Bhushan Kabra and Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia (1967) in releasing the world-known album called Call of the Valley.
We also organized a Concert Soul 2 Soul where Pt. Shivkumar Sharma would perform but because of health resons his sun Rahul Sharma performed alongside Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia.
Pandit Shivkumar Sharma will be missed and his music shall forever remain in our lives. Aum Shanti.
